Installing Lumbar Support

Information 

• Cut air connection lines at a right angle. 
• Do not crush air connection lines when cutting them. 

1. Shorten air connection line between the new lumbar support and lumbar-support motor. -X-  = Length 50 mm  .

2. Shorten air connection line between the new lumbar support and air cushion for backrest. -Y-  = Length 50 mm  .

3. Connect air connection line between lumbar support and lumbar-support motor.

   Information 

   • Do not heat air connection lines for fitting. 
   • Do not use grease for fitting air connection lines. 
   • Do not use tools for fitting air connection lines. 
   • Do not strain air connection lines during fitting. 
   1. 3.1. Fit hose connection -1-  on the end of the air connection line for the lumbar support -2-  .

   2. 3.2. Connect attached hose connection -1-  to the air connection line for the lumbar-support motor -3-  .
4. Connect air connection line between lumbar support and air cushion for backrest.

   Information 

   • Do not heat air connection lines for fitting. 
   • Do not use grease for fitting air connection lines. 
   • Do not use tools for fitting air connection lines. 
   • Do not strain air connection lines during fitting. 
   1. 4.1. Fit hose connection -1-  on the end of the air connection line for the lumbar support.

   2. 4.2. Connect attached hose connection -1-  to the air connection line for the air cushion for backrest -3-  .
5. Fit Lumbar support into the brackets -1-  (-arrows-  ).

6. Connect air connection line to air cushion for seat.
   1. 6.1. Feed air connection line through the seat frame -arrow-  .

   2. 6.2. Fit air connection line into the connection coupling -1-  and secure with the retaining clip -2-  (-inset-  ).
7. Plug in electric plug connection for control valves -1-  (-inset-  ).

8. Secure cable for control valve to the lumbar support with a tie-wrap -1-  .

9. Install retainer springs -1-  and secure lumbar support -2-  .
