Installing SDARS Antenna

Information 

The SDARS antenna is supplied unpainted and must therefore be painted the color of the vehicle when replaced. 

Information 

Where components are fitted to body parts, make sure that the surfaces to be sealed are clean.

• Non-observance leads to the corrosion of body parts. 
• Non-observance leads to the corrosion of electric plug connections and malfunctions. 

1. Fit SDARS antenna -1-  on the convertible-top compartment lid -arrow-  .

2. Secure SDARS antenna with the fastening screw -1-  (-a-  ). Tightening torque 2 Nm (1.5 ftlb.) +0.5 Nm (+0.5 ftlb.)

3. Connect plug connection for SDARS antenna until the plug connection locks securely -arrow-  .
   1. 3.1. Insert plug connection for SDARS antenna into the body aperture.

4. Position foam belt -1-  and insert it into the convertible-top compartment lid -2-  (-a-  ).
