  1. If the control unit has to be replaced, the values must be read out beforehand using PIWIS Tester II 9818  . → 903555 REPLACING GATEWAY CONTROL UNIT 
  2. If knee airbag installed, remove knee airbag. → 697819 REMOVE AND INSTALL THE KNEE AIRBAG FOR THE DRIVER - Section on "Removing"
