Removing Rear Apron
Information
- The number of fastening screws, fixing clips, plug connections, holders and trim panels can vary depending on equipment.
- The illustrations for removing and installing the drive mechanism are shown only on one equipment variant and may differ from the actual equipment variant.
- Some steps must be carried out automatically.
- Some of the repair illustrations show only one side of the vehicle.
- Unscrew screws -1- at the bottom of the rear apron.
- Unscrew screw -1- at the lower side of the rear apron.
- Unscrew screw -1- on the wheel housing liner.
- Unscrew and remove screws on the retaining frame and side panel.
- 4.1. Press the wheel housing liner aside.
- 4.2. Unscrew screws -1- on the retaining frame.
- 4.3. Unscrew screw -1- on the side panel.
- Unscrew screws -1- on frame for light.
- Take off the trim panel with the help of another person.
- 6.1. Unhook the trim panel on both sides -arrows A- and pull it back slightly -arrow B- .
- 6.2. Open cable clip and disconnect wire harness.
- 6.3. Remove trim panel fully.
- Place rear apron in storage system WE 1472 .
