Installing Inner A-Pillar Panel
Information
- Before final assembly, make sure you fully understand all the work steps involved and carry out a trial assembly without applying adhesive.
- The bonding process can only be carried out reliably when a smooth and swift sequence of operations is guaranteed.
- Do not begin bonding work until all materials and tools necessary for later repair work are available.
- Apply adhesive.
- 1.1. Apply adhesive. → Application depth: 3.0 mm

- 1.1. Apply adhesive. → Application depth: 3.0 mm
- Fit and secure inner A-pillar panels and reinforcement.
Information
The tack-welds must be removed again following installation of the component.
- Tack-weld using inert gas.
- Remove A-pillar reinforcement.
- Weld in inner A-pillar panel.
- 5.1. Bend up sheetmetal bracket -arrow- .
- 5.2. Resistance spot-weld inner A-pillar panel.
- 5.3. Plug-weld using inert gas -A- .
- Weld in inner A-pillar panel.
- 6.1. Plug-weld using inert gas -A- .
- 6.2. Spot-weld using inert gas -B- .
- 6.3. Resistance spot-weld.
- Weld in inner A-pillar panel.
- 7.1. Resistance spot-weld.
- 7.2. Plug-weld using inert gas -A- .
- Weld in inner A-pillar panel.
- 8.1. Plug-weld using inert gas -A- .
- 8.2. Resistance spot-weld.
