Removing Exhaust Camshaft Sensor

  1. Release and unplug connector for camshaft sensor. > Camshaft sensor connector

  2. Loosen fastening screw on -3-  the camshaft sensor and carefully pull out the camshaft sensor -4-  .

    Valve cover gaskets, cylinders 1 to 4

    1  Valve cover for cylinders 1 to 4 (align over rod ignition modules)
    2  Oil cap
    3  Aluminium screw  , M6 x 20; camshaft sensor (phase sensor); always use new aluminium screws
    4  Camshaft sensor
    5  Sealing ring
    6  Cylinder head cover gasket
    7  Cylinder head cover gasket, inner
    8  Seal for hydraulic valve for camshaft control

    1  Valve cover for cylinders 5 to 8 (align over rod ignition modules)
    2  Camshaft sensor
    3  Aluminium screw  , M6 x 20; camshaft sensor (phase sensor); always use new aluminium screws
    4  Sealing ring
    5  Cylinder head cover gasket
    6  Cylinder head cover gasket, inner
    7  Seal for hydraulic valve for camshaft control
