Removing Air Box For Throttle Housing (Y-Shaped Pipe Ahead Of Throttle Valve)

Naturally aspirated engines =>
- On naturally aspirated engine: Loosen the screw-type clamps and pull off intake pipes and Y-shaped pipe -3, 1 or 2 -

Intake pipes
Turbo engines =>
- Disconnect connector -1-
for boost pressure sensor.
Boost pressure sensor
- Lever off clip under the Y-pipe using a screwdriver.
- Release both locking pins on the Y-shaped pipe in a clockwise direction and pull them off. Pull Y-shaped pipe off the throttle housing.

Turbo pressure pipes ahead of thro tie valve
1 Pressure pipe 2 Y-shaped pipe 4 PCV line (positive crankcase ventilation); hose connector fitted in check valve or Y-shaped pipe, depending on equipment => Important! Only loosen connections if you intend to replace them and replace clamps! Set components down with the ventilation pipes and lines connected. 5 Control line for ambient air line Either release the clips on the plug-in connection -1- for the charge air cooler if necessary and pull the pressure pipes of the charge-air cooler. Turn the Y-shaped pipe with pressure pipes fitted around and detach the control line -5- , which is clipped on.
Or loosen the screw-type clamps between the Y-shaped pipe and pressure pipes and turn the Y-shaped pipe around and detach the control line -5- , which is clipped on.
