Adjusting Headlights (Basic Setting In The Body)

NOTE:
- The headlights are fitted into the body at the factory!
- The headlights must only be readjusted during accident repairs or if the headlights are being replaced!
NOTE:
- If work is carried out on the headlight or retainer plate, the installed fastening screws must be replaced by micro-encapsulated fastening screws (see PET).
- Micro-encapsulated fastening screws must be tightened only once to the specified torque.
- Micro-encapsulated fastening screws must be replaced after loosening them.
NOTE:
- Adjust gap dimensions on lid and accessories in accordance with the gap specifications .
- Given a clearance in the opening that is too great or too small, the accessories must be centered with respect to the body .
- Ensure that the gaps do not run in a wedge-shaped fashion or do not narrow at local points .
- The given values are guidelines, which should be observed as far as possible .
- The guidelines apply to repair work and assembly work .
- Use star gauges to check the gap dimensions . Star gauge WE 1690
