Adjusting Headlight Mounting Towards Y-Axis

NOTE:
If work is carried out on the headlight or retainer plate, the installed fastening screws must be replaced by micro-encapsulated fastening screws (see PET).
Micro-encapsulated fastening screws must be tightened only once to the specified torque.
Micro-encapsulated fastening screws must be replaced after loosening them.
- Insert headlight into the mounting.
- Close the front lid and check the gap dimensions between the headlight and front lid. → WM 6X00IN GAP DIMENSIONS
- Remove headlight.
Positioning headlight mounting
Procedure for lowering the headlight:
- Loosen fastening screws -1-
.
- 4.1. Press headlight mounting -2- in the adjusting element area down -arrow F- to ensure that the position of the adjusting element cannot be changed.
Loosening fastening screws
- Screw in the adjusting ring -3- on the adjusting element to lower the headlight mounting -2- .
- Tighten fastening screws.
- 6.1. Press headlight mounting in the adjusting element area down to ensure that the position of the adjusting element cannot be changed.
Procedure for raising the headlight:
- Loosen fastening screws -1-

- 7.1. Press headlight mounting -2- in the adjusting element area down to ensure that the position of the adjusting element cannot be changed.
- Screw out the adjusting ring -3- on the adjusting element to raise the headlight mounting -2- .
- Tighten fastening screws.
- 9.1. Press headlight mounting in the adjusting element area down to ensure that the position of the adjusting element cannot be changed.
- Insert headlight into the mounting.
- Close the front lid and check the gap dimensions between the headlight and front lid.
- Repeat the adjustment procedure if necessary.
- Remove headlight.
- Tighten fastening screws to the specified torque. Tightening torque 8 Nm (6 ftlb.)
