Removing Rear-View Mirror Housing (Lower Part)

NOTE:

  • The illustrations for removing and installing the drive mechanism are shown only on one equipment variant and may differ from the actual equipment variant  .
  • Some steps must be carried out automatically  .
  • Some of the repair illustrations show only one side of the vehicle  .
  1. Unscrew screw -1-  .
  2. Remove plastic washer -2-  .
  3. Remove coil spring -3-.
  4. Remove plastic washer -4-  .
  5. Unclip wire harness -5-  at the mirror bracket -6-  .
  6. Release and disconnect electric plug connection -7-  .
  7. Pull electric plug connection -8-  out of the bracket, then release and disconnect it.

    Releasing rear-view mirror housing (lower part) 

  8. Unclip mirror bracket -1-  on lower part of housing -2-  (-arrows-  ), guide it out of the bracket -3- and remove it.
  9. Unclip area lighting -4-  from lower part of housing -2-  and disconnect electric plug connection.
  10. Guide out wire harness -5-  at lower part of housing -2-  and remove lower part of housing -2-  .
