Removing Pulley

CAUTION:
Incorrect handling of tools
- Risk of damage to the body
→ Only use tools approved by Porsche.
→ Always ensure that the tool is seated correctly.
→ Protect the body and interior of the vehicle from damage with protective covers.
→ Cover delicate components with cardboard or sheetmetal panels.
CAUTION:
- Risk of irreparable damage to engine
When the pulley is removed, do not turn the crankshaft out of "TDC" position as this will adjust the timing.
- Disconnect electric plug connection -1-
and detach line.
Electric plug connection for fan control unit
- Disconnect electric plug connections -2 and 3-
and unscrew fastening screw -arrow-

Fan control unit
- Remove control unit for fan.
- Use counter-hold tool T10355
to turn the pulley to TDC
position.
The notch on the pulley and the marking on the chain housing cover must be opposite each other. → TDC marking on pulley

- Unscrew fastening screw for the pulley.
Counter the pulley using counter-hold tool T10355 .
