Removing Engine Mounting

Danger of objects or loads falling down
- Risk of squashing or crushing
→ Secure components to prevent them from falling down.
- Remove air cleaner housing.
- Support engine in installation position using floor jack H 2 SL WE 1032 and transmission jack plate of transmission jack VAG 1383 A WE 1082 at the oil pan.
- Loosen collar nut M12 (internal Torx screw, screw insert T55) -1- at the engine carrier and unscrew it.
- Unscrew two hexagon-head bolts (M x 60 at engine mounting (item 1 or 2).
- Guide engine mounting -1- upwards out of the engine carrier.
- Check mounting carefully for damage (dents, cracks at metal insert, threaded bolt) or leaks (emerging hydraulic fluid).
- 6.1. Replace component if in doubt.
