Removing Engine Mounting

- Active engine mountings (hydraulic mounts) are fitted as standard on the new 2nd generation 997 Turbo.

Information
- It may only be supported over a large area at the oil pan.
- Localized loading is not permitted.
- Support the engine in installation position at the oil pan using the hydraulic jack HH2 WE 1033 and transmission jack plate of transmission jack VAG 1383 A WE 1082 .
- Loosen and unscrew M12 collar nut (internal Torx, screw insert T55) -1- on the engine carrier.
- Remove engine mounting.
- 3.1. Release and pull off cable plug -3- .
- 3.2. Unscrew three external Torx screws (E12, M8 x 75) -2- .
- Guide engine mounting up out of the engine carrier.
- Check mounting carefully for damage (dents, cracks at metal insert, threaded bolt) or leaks (emerging hydraulic fluid).
- 5.1. Replace component if in doubt.
