Subsequent Work

  1. Vehicles With Manual Transmission:  Bleed the clutch system.

    → 300107 BLEEDING THE CLUTCH SYSTEM - AS OF MODEL YEAR 2009 .

  2. All Models:  Fill in coolant and bleed the system.

    → 193817 DRAINING AND FILLING COOLANT - Turbo (includes bleeding the system).

  3. Install air cleaner housing.

    → 242519 REMOVING AND INSTALLING AIR CLEANER HOUSING - TURBO .

  4. Install pressure pipe.

    → 214119 REMOVING AND INSTALLING PRESSURE PIPE .

  5. Connect the battery.

    → WM 2X00IN WORK INSTRUCTIONS AFTER DISCONNECTING THE BATTERY .

  6. Heat the engine (to operating temperature) and check the coolant level again.
    1. 6.1. Check all connections on the cooling system that were opened during removal for leaks.
  7. Check fluid level (Pentosin) in power-steering system and top it up if necessary.

    → WM 480201 CHECKING THE POWER-STEERING FLUID LEVEL .

  8. Check engine-oil level and top up if necessary.

    → 170101 CHECKING ENGINE-OIL LEVEL .

  9. Fit rear and center underbody cover.

    → 519419 REMOVING AND INSTALLING COVER FOR REAR UNDERBODY .

    → 519319 REMOVING AND INSTALLING COVER FOR CENTER UNDERBODY .

  10. Remove protective covers on body.
  11. Perform a test drive.
