Removing Front Transmission Cover

Remove transmission oil cooler.

1. 1.1. Disconnect electrical connections.
  Unhook wiring harness from transmission and remove.
2. 1.2. Release transmission oil cooler -1- .
  Undo bolts -3- .
3. 1.3. Remove transmission oil cooler -1- with console and accessories.
  Detach transmission oil hose -2- on transmission and remove transmission oil cooler -1- with console and accessories.
Remove oil pump.
Remove bolts to do so. Turn special tool threaded piece vw 771/15 into thread. Drive oil pump -A- using special tool striking tool vw 771 upwards and out.

Remove front transmission cover.
Bolts -1- and force off front transmission cover using a suitable rubber mallet.
