Removing Front Wheel Bearing

Component overview of wheel bearing
- Wheel hub Pull the inner race off the wheel bearing separately. Carry out a close visual inspection of the seat of the wheel hub. There must not be any scoring, grooves or similar deformations on the hub.
- Screw Use new screws.
- Mounting plate circlip.
- Wheel bearing The wheel bearing can no longer be used once it has been removed. Use a new wheel bearing. Do not press on the inner race. Insert the wheel bearing with the magnetic multiple-pole ring towards the drive shaft. Check the magnetic side (e.g. with a paper clip). Do not use magnets or screwdrivers to check!
- Wheel bearing housing
Carry out a close visual inspection of the seat of the wheel bearing. There must not be any scoring, grooves or similar deformations.
- Wheel speed sensor Must be inserted with Optitemp LG2 (25-ml spray can, Part No. 000.043.204.21).
