Information
- Following replacement of the high-pressure pump and engine, the values for the high-pressure adaptation must be reset using the PIWIS Tester. Then carry out a test and adaptation drive. Read the information in the section → 247019 REMOVING AND INSTALLING DME CONTROL UNIT
- The current software must be installed on the control unit if necessary. Following conversion to a new engine, it is possible that an old software version may still be installed on the control unit.
- Install front left wheel housing liner completely on vehicles with PDCC.

- Install front part of front wheel housing liner on both sides.

- Fasten brake calliper on both sides.

- Install cardan shaft.
- Install exhaust system.
- Install underbody panelling.

- Install rear profile seal.
- Install plenum panel cover.
- Install cowl panel covering.
- Connect battery ground strap.
- Fill up coolant.
- Fill up refrigerant for the air conditioning system.
- Fill the hydraulic oil tank.
- Bleed the power steering.
- Check ATF level.
- Check engine-oil level.
- Perform suspension alignment.
- Adjust the locking cable.
- Perform a test drive.
After the cooling system has cooled down, check the engine coolant level in the reservoir and top up to the max. mark if necessary.
