Spring Strut

TIGHTENING TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS

No. 1: Threaded connection securing spring strut to damper housing M10 thread, observe tightening sequence! First tighten the bolts on the inside of the vehicle Initial tightening 50 (37 ftlb.) Nm  
No. 1: Threaded connection securing spring strut to damper housing M10 thread, observe tightening sequence! First tighten the bolts on the inside of the vehicle Final tightening + 120°  
No. 2: Threaded connection securing suspension/stabiliser to wheel carrier/shock absorber strut M12 x 1.5 x 120 thread (always replace screws and lock nuts after removal) Initial tightening 90 (67 ftlb.) Nm  
No. 2: Threaded connection securing suspension/stabiliser to wheel carrier/shock absorber strut M12 x 1.5 x 120 thread (always replace screws and lock nuts after removal) Final tightening + 90°  
No. 3: Supporting mount to piston rod   Tightening torque 60 (44 ftlb.) Nm +/- 5 (3.5 ftlb.) Nm
No. 3: Supporting mount to piston rod (PASM damper)   Tightening torque 70 (52 ftlb.) Nm +/- 5 (3.5 ftlb.) Nm
Cover on concave support M8 thread Pressing force + 26 (19 ftlb.) Nm +/- 1 (0.5 ftlb.) Nm
