Removing Oil/Water Heat EXCHANGER (Oil Cooler): Notes

Information
The oil/water heat exchanger is fitted at the front of the oil guide housing.

- Vehicles with PDCC:
Loosen the fastening nuts -1-
on the holder for the PDCC lines and lower the holder -2-
with the lines -arrow-

Holder for PDCC lines
- Place a drip pan under the oil/water heat exchanger. (Coolant and oil will run out during disassembly.)
- Disconnect coolant hoses.
Removing coolant hoses
- 3.1 Loosen the clips -1- on the coolant hoses at the oil/coolant heat exchanger and slide them onto the hoses -A- .
- 3.2 Clamp the hoses using > 3093 - hose clamp or > 3094 - hose clamp.
- 3.3 Clip the coolant hose assembly -3- on the oil/water heat exchanger from the holder -2- (-B- ).
- 3.4 Pull off the hoses -C- .
- Unscrew fastening screws -1-

- Tilt the oil/water heat exchanger up in direction of travel -A- .
- Remove oil/water heat exchanger.
