Removing Front Spring Strut (Steel Springs With PASM)

→ Wear personal protective gear.

→ Do not raise the wheel suspension higher than the normal vehicle position (vehicle resting on wheels).

Information 

For vehicles with PDCC, raise the wheel suspension slightly using a transmission jack (do not raise wheel suspension higher than normal vehicle position (vehicle resting on wheels). This changes the angular position of the control arm and the spring strut can be removed by turning carefully.

1. Release electric plug connection -1-  for the spring strut wire harness -a-  and pull it off -A-  .

2. Unclip wire harness from the holder -2-  (-B-  ).
3. Screw fastening nuts -1-  off the upper spring strut.

4. Carefully pull the spring strut -1-  down -A-  and then remove it in an upward direction -B-  .
