Removing Shift And Selector Cables

Information 

• Do not kink or roll up shift and selector cables  .
• Only store shift and selector cables in elongated position (do not roll up)  .

1. Disconnect shift and selector cables at the center tunnel.
   1. 1.1. Release shift and selector cables -2-  at the support -1-  and pull them out.
   2. 1.2. Disconnect shift and selector cables at the gearshift bracket.

2. Disconnect shift and selector cables on manual transmission.
   1. 2.1. Lever off ball joints -1-  on the exterior shift mechanism using Disassembly Tool Nr. 21  .
   2. 2.2. Release shift and selector cables -3-  at the support -2-  and pull them out.

3. Removing shift and selector cables -1-  .
   1. 3.1. Disconnect shift and selector cables on the body.
   2. 3.2. Guide shift and selector cables through from the engine compartment into the passenger compartment.
