Topping Up Transmission Oil

Information
Basic requirements for filling the transmission correctly:
- Vehicle is horizontal on the lifting platform
- Transmission oil temperature is approx. 20 °C
- Engine off, transmission is not turning .
- Top up transmission oil. HDP 500 Porsche Transmission Oil
Filling Capacity On Manual Transmission With Differential:
Type 981: 3.0 liters
Type 981 S: 3.2 liters
Type 981 GT4: 3.2 liters
- 1.1. Clean drain plug -2- , fit with a new sealing ring and tighten to Tightening Torque 40 Nm (30 ft. lbs.) +/-2 Nm (+/-1.5 ft. lbs.) .
- 1.2. Fill in transmission oil up to the lower edge of the filler opening using Manual Metering Pump WE 1372 .
- 1.3. Clean filler plug -1- , fit with a new sealing ring and tighten to Tightening torque 40 Nm (30 ft. lbs.) +/-2 Nm (+/-1.5 ft. lbs.) .
- 1.4. Wipe off emerging oil on the transmission with a cloth or paper.
