Installing Cardan Shaft

Information
Always replace bellows.
- Close electric parking brake.
- Fit bellows.
- 2.1. Assembly sleeve 9255 -1- must be pushed over the splines. Then, lightly lubricate sleeve with Vaseline and slide on bellows -2- as far as it will go.
- Install cardan shaft.
- 3.1. Grease bush and splines of the cardan shaft with Olysta Longtime 3EP.
- 3.2. Slide cardan shaft into the splines of the central shaft.
- 3.3. Fit cardan shaft on the cardan flange by screwing in and tightening the screws.
Tightening torque 45 Nm (33 ftlb.)
- 3.4. Push bellows forward until it engages in the groove of the central shaft.
- 3.5. Check that the bellows is seated correctly by pulling on it.

- Install transmission bracket.
- 4.1. Support transmission with transmission jack.
- 4.2. Unscrew screws on the gear support.
- 4.3. Fit and tighten screw and nuts on the transmission mount.
- 4.4. Bolt transmission bracket and brace plate.
Transmission bracket: Tightening torque 65 Nm (48 ftlb.)
Brace plate: Tightening torque 30 Nm (22 ftlb.) +90 Grad
- 4.5. Tighten nut on the transmission mount.
Tightening torque 120 Nm (89 ftlb.)
- 4.6. Remove transmission jack.
