Removing Rear Wheel Bearing

- Press out wheel hub.
Press the wheel hub out using press-out mandrel press-out mandrel P 297a. Separating device (ø = 12 - 115 mm) Nr.111 and a suitable support must be used for countering.
- Remove bearing cover.
Unscrew screws -1- and remove housing -2- .
- Heat wheel bearing housing to approx. 100 °C (max. 120 °C).CAUTION: Hot components
- Risk of burns

- Press out wheel bearing using a tube VW 415 A .
- Press out wheel bearing inner ring.
Use a two-claw puller together with a suitable intermediate piece (e.g. pressure piece VW 433 ) to pull the inner bearing ring several millimetres off the wheel hub.
Press out inner bearing ring using a press-out mandrel P 297a together with the separating device (ø = 12 - 115 mm) Nr.111 .
