Removing Brake Cables

- Remove center console insert.
- 1.1. Open the lid on the oddments tray.
- 1.2. Remove center console insert at the rear -1- (-arrow- ).
- Remove center console floor at the rear.
- 2.1. Unscrew fastening screws -1- and remove center console floor at the rear -2- .
- Disengage brake cables at the handbrake lever.
Turn the lever -3- and disengage brake cables -1- .
- Disengage brake cables at the expanding-lock.
- 4.1. Pull brake cables -1- out slightly.
- 4.2. Prise circlip -6- off the bolt -7- and remove it.
- 4.3. Pull out the bolt -7- and remove expanding-lock -8- .
- Remove brake cables.
- 5.1. Pull brake cables -1- out of the guide tubes -5- at the wheel bearing housing -arrow- .
- 5.2. Pull brake cables -1- out of the guide tubes at the underbody.
- 5.3. Clean the guide tubes -5- at the wheel bearing housing.
