Steering gear to front-axle cross member Hexagon-head bolt, M10 x 60/always use new bolts following removal Tightening torque 70 Nm (52 ftlb.)    
Lower intermediate steering shaft (universal joint) to steering gear Fit bolt (M8 x 30), always use new bolt following removal Initial tightening 20 Nm (15 ftlb.)    
Lower intermediate steering shaft (universal joint) to steering gear Fit bolt (M8 x 30), always use new bolt following removal Final tightening +90°    
Upper intermediate steering shaft (universal joint) to steering column Fit bolt (M8 x 30), always use new bolt following removal Initial tightening 20 Nm (15 ftlb.)    
Upper intermediate steering shaft (universal joint) to steering column Fit bolt (M8 x 30), always use new bolt following removal Final tightening +90°    
Tie rod (axial joint) to steering gear (rack-and-pinion) M16 x 1.5/always observe the specified tightening specifications. Initial tightening 30 Nm (22 ftlb.)    
Tie rod (axial joint) to steering gear (rack-and-pinion) M16 x 1.5/always observe the specified tightening specifications. Final tightening +19°    
Aluminum tie rod to axial joint Lock nut, M14 x 1.5 Tightening torque 50 Nm (37 ftlb.)    
Tie-rod end to wheel carrier (on lever) Hexagon nut, M12 x 1.5 Tightening torque 85 Nm (63 ftlb.)    
Steering wheel to steering shaft Internal serration screw (M18)/always use new screw following removal Initial tightening 30 Nm (22 ftlb.)    
Steering wheel to steering shaft Internal serration screw (M18)/always use new screw following removal Final tightening +90°    
Steering column to retaining frame Hexagon nut, M8 Tightening torque 23 Nm (17 ftlb.)    
Steering column to holder (frequency strut) Hexagon-head bolt, M8 x 110/hexagon nut, M8 Tightening torque 12 Nm (9 ftlb.)    
Holder (frequency strut) to body Hexagon-head bolt, M8 Tightening torque 13 Nm (9.5 ftlb.)    
Upper intermediate steering shaft (universal joint) to steering shaft (steering column) Fit bolt (M8 x 30), always use new bolt following removal Initial tightening 20 Nm (15 ftlb.)    
Upper intermediate steering shaft (universal joint) to steering shaft (steering column) Fit bolt (M8 x 30), always use new bolt following removal Final tightening +90°
