Installing The Tie Rod (Rear-Axle Steering Adjuster)

Information 

  1. Fit tie rod (rear-axle steering adjuster) -2-  to rear-axle carrier side section -1-  .

    Fit eccentric washer -4-  at the position marked (prior to removal) and tighten the lock nut -5-  .

    Tightening torque 100 Nm (74 ftlb.)

  2. Install rear-axle carrier side section.

    Use a new lock nut and hexagon-head bolts. Observe the specified tightening torques/torque angles! 

    Lock nut Initial tightening 90 Nm (67 ftlb.) Final tightening +90°  Hexagon-head bolts
