Installing Brake Booster

  1. Check the clip on the brake pedal (to ensure that the push rod is secured) and replace it if necessary.

    Guide the brake booster in from the work area, through the bulkhead, and align it with the brake pedal (second mechanic required).

    Ensure absolute cleanliness at all times during installation.

  2. Secure the brake booster to the pedals.

    Tightening torque for screws: 23 Nm (17 ft. lbs.).

  3. Fit push rod for brake booster on the brake pedal.

    Check that the push rod is engaged correctly in the clip on the brake pedal.

    1. 3.1. Position the brake pedal -1-  on the push rod for the brake booster -2-  .
    2. 3.2. Press the brake pedal -1-  down fully -arrow A-  until the push rod -2-  clicks into place in the holder on the brake pedal -3-  (-arrow B-  ).

    3. 3.3. Check that the push rod -2-  is fully engaged in the holder -1-  .

  1. Check the clip on the brake pedal (to ensure that the push rod is secured) and replace it if necessary.

    Guide the brake booster in from the work area, through the bulkhead, and align it with the brake pedal (second mechanic required).

  2. Secure the brake booster to the pedals.

    Tightening torque for screws: 23 Nm (17 ft. lbs.).

  3. Fit push rod for brake booster on the brake pedal.

    Check that the push rod is engaged correctly in the clip on the brake pedal.

    1. 3.1. Position the brake pedal -1-  on the push rod for the brake booster -2-  .

    2. 3.2. Press the brake pedal -1-  down fully -arrow A-  until the push rod -2-  clicks into place in the holder on the brake pedal -3-  (-arrow B-  ).
    3. 3.3. Check that the push rod -2-  is fully engaged in the holder -1-  .
