Removing Front Brake Calliper

Information 

The description applies to 4-piston and 6-piston brake callipers (PCCB)  .

1. Disconnect plug connection for the brake pad wear indicator and remove it from the holder.

   Unclip wire harness for brake pad wear indicator at the brake line.

2. Loosen the brake line on the brake calliper.

   Collect brake fluid in a suitable container.

   Close off the brake line and brake calliper bore using suitable stoppers.

3. Detach the brake calliper from the wheel bearing housing (wheel carrier) -arrows-  and remove it.

   If the edge of the brake disc is protruding at the outer diameter, first reset the brake pads slightly and evenly.
