Converting Engine

Information 

The tightening specifications for the basic engine are stored centrally → 1001IN TIGHTENING TORQUES, TIGHTENING SEQUENCES, ASSEMBLY OVERVIEWS .

Tightening torques and assembly instructions for other assemblies (e.g. chassis, electrics, transmission or body) or for peripheral engine equipment can be found in the corresponding documents.

  1. Convert turbo intake pipes on both sides.
  2. Convert turbo pressure line on both sides. → 214119 REMOVING AND INSTALLING PRESSURE PIPE .
  3. Convert the drive belt. → 137819 REMOVING AND INSTALLING DRIVE BELT .
  4. Convert air-conditioning compressor. → 873419 REMOVING AND INSTALLING AIR-CONDITIONING COMPRESSOR
  5. Convert hydraulic pump/tandem pump. → 489819 REMOVING AND REINSTALLING HYDRAULIC PUMP
  6. Convert secondary-air pump. → 266519 REMOVING AND INSTALLING SECONDARY-AIR PUMP WITH BRACKET .
  7. Convert entire air injection system including switching valves. → 266919 REMOVING AND INSTALLING SECONDARY AIR VALVE
  8. Convert air box for throttle housing with lines. → 243519 REMOVING AND INSTALLING AIR BOX FOR THROTTLE HOUSING (Y-SHAPED PIPE AHEAD OF THROTTLE VALVE)
  9. Convert coolant hoses and coolant pipes.
  10. Convert vacuum lines.
  11. Convert flywheel → 136019 REMOVING AND INSTALLING FLYWHEEL .
