Removing Wheel Hub
Make sure that all accessories (e.g. wheel speed sensor, cable holder) have been removed from the wheel bearing housing.
- Fit grip pieces T10205/1 and bell T10205/2 around the wheel hub.
- Screw large ram into workshop press (see TOOLS AND MATERIALS , Tool overview: wheel bearing, item 7). Insert wheel bearing housing with the wheel hub facing downwards into the workshop press -arrow- . Make sure that the bell T10205/2 is lying flat and the wheel hub can extend freely in the bell.
- Position the pressure piece VW 454 onto the wheel hub and center it -bottom arrow- .
- Slowly extend the large ram and place it onto the pressure piece VW 454. Carefully press out the wheel hub -arrow-

Removing wheel bearing
- Remove mounting plate for the wheel bearing housing by loosening the four fastening screws.
- Position pipe T10205/5 -2- under the workshop press and fit the wheel bearing housing. Fit the workshop press's large ram -1- onto the wheel bearing.
- Carefully press out the wheel bearing -arrow-

Removing wheel bearing inner race
- Position separating device no. 111 -2- under the inner wheel bearing race -1- and clamp uniformly with an open-ended wrench -4- . Do not damage the wheel hub -3- in the process.
- Screw the large ram into the workshop press (see section entitled TOOLS AND MATERIALS , Tool overview for wheel bearing, item 10). Place separating device no. 111 with the wheel hub under the workshop press. Make sure that the separating device no. 111 is flat. → Pressing off wheel bearing inner race, tightening evenly
- Use pressure piece VW 454 -arrow- to press the wheel hub carefully through the inner wheel bearing race -1- . Hold the wheel hub from below (a second worker is required!)
