Removing Spreader Device (EPB Actuator)

The spreader device (actuator) is fitted on the rear-axle wheel bearing housing

  1. Actuator
  2. Tie-wrap - prevents twisting

  1. If the actuator has to be re-used, secure it in the brake shoe mountings with a tie-wrap to prevent it from twisting! -arrow-

  2. Carefully disconnect electric connector at the actuator and pull it off.
  3. Loosen fastening screws -arrows-  on the actuator.

  4. Turn the wheel hub so that the actuator can be removed carefully. → Removing actuator
