Installing Coolant Pump

Information 

  1. Clean sealing faces. Fit coolant pump with a new seal.

    1. Coolant pump
    2. Seal; rubber seal fitted in coolant pump
    3. Screw, M6 x 25
  2. Screw in and tighten fastening screws. → Tightening sequence for coolant pump Tightening torque 12 Nm (9 ftlb.)

    NOTE: Incorrect handling of pulley
    • Risk of damage to pulley

    → The pulley is sensitive to impact. Do not pry off the pulley with a screwdriver.

    → Do not re-use a damaged pulley.

  3. Fit the pulley on the coolant pump. Screw in the three fastening screws by hand.
  4. Screw in and tighten the three fastening screws -arrows-  on the coolant pump pulley. Block the pulley using a counter-hold tool counter-hold tool Nr.38  if necessary. Tightening torque 23 Nm (17 ftlb.)
