Removing Drive Shaft

Information
The instructions for removing and installing drive shafts apply both to the Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK) and manual transmission.
- Release axle nut (vehicle on ground) while operating the brake (2 fitters required).
- Remove rear wheel.
- Remove drive shafts.
- 3.1. Counter using special tool adapter plate 9510/1 (-1- ).
- 3.2. Unscrew the six bolts between the drive shaft and transmission flange.
Information
- Protect the drive shafts from mechanical damage.
- 3.3. Use universal drive shaft/wheel hub extractor as of model '86 NR.87-1 to carefully press out the pin of the drive shaft until the shaft can be moved by hand.
- 3.4. Remove (pull out) drive shaft.
