Removing Rear Wheel Bearing Housing

- Remove the drive shaft at the wheel bearing housing.
Use universal drive shaft/wheel hub extractor as of model '86 Nr.87-1 to carefully press out the pin of the drive shaft until the shaft can be moved by hand.
- 1.1. To prevent damage to the drive shaft, slide protective hose over the drive shaft.
- The following tasks, "Remove brake shoes, brake disc and actuator for electronic parking brake" are only necessary if the wheel bearing or wheel bearing housing is replaced!
- 2.1. Remove brake disc.
- 2.2. Remove brake shoes on parking brake.
- 2.3. Remove actuator for electronic parking brake.

- Remove trailing arms, spring strut and connecting link (suspension/stabilizer) or PDCC actuator from the wheel bearing housing.
- 3.1. Remove trailing arms -1 and 2- from the wheel bearing housing.
- 3.2. Remove spring strut -1- from the wheel bearing housing.
- 3.3. Remove the upper trailing arms -1-3-4- , connecting link (suspension/stabilizer) -2- or PDCC actuator from the wheel bearing housing.
- Remove wheel bearing housing. Secure the drive shaft to prevent it from falling down.
