Removing Rear Side Window

Information 

The new side window is supplied complete with trim frame and trim.

1. Unscrew and remove fastening screw -2-  on the bracket for the luggage compartment net cover at the D-pillar.

2. Loosen headliner in the rear side window area.
3. On vehicles with antenna  , disconnect electric plug connection.
4. Lift trim on the side window -A-  up slightly and pull it forward to remove it -B-  .

   WARNING: Vehicle windows removed and installed incorrectly

   • Danger of cuts
   • Risk of eye injuries

   → Wear personal protective gear.

   → Always shut off power supply when replacing cutting knife.

5. Pierce bead of adhesive on the lower C-pillar from the inside out using the scratch awl.

   Information 

   • When cutting out the side window, fixing clips will also be cut through. Greater force will be needed at these points. 
6. Cut out the side window.
   1. 6.1. Cut out the side window using a cutting wire.
   2. 6.2. Cut through fixing clips -1-  when removing the window.
