Removing Auxiliary Headlight
Information
- Some of the repair illustrations show only one side of the vehicle .
- Naturally, some steps also have to be performed on the opposite side of the vehicle as well .
Information
- Always remove cooling-air guide and auxiliary headlight together!
- The clips for the cooling-air guide must be removed in order to loosen the cooling-air guide on the auxiliary headlight. Otherwise the auxiliary headlight will be damaged!
- After removing the cooling-air guide on auxiliary headlight, the cooling-air guide must be replaced .
- Release electric plug connection -1- on the auxiliary headlight -2- (-a- ) and disconnect it.
- Unscrew fastening screws -1- on the auxiliary headlight -2- .
- Carefully unclip fastening clamps for the cooling-air guide -6- in the sequence -1 to 5- from the air grille -7- .
- Carefully disengage clips -arrows- and remove auxiliary headlight -1- with cooling-air guide -2- by pulling it forward out of the front apron.
- If the cooling-air guide -1- has to be replaced: Disconnect the locking clip -2- on the cooling-air guide -1- and carefully remove cooling-air guide -1- from the auxiliary headlight -3- .
- Check locking mechanisms on the auxiliary headlight -3- for damage.
