Installing Support Plate

Information 

The press-in screws on the rear-axle carrier side section must be free of grease and oil residues! Check press-in screws before installation and clean them if necessary.

1. Fit support plate -2-  and diagonal braces -1-  .

2. Tighten fastening screws/nuts on the support plate -2-  and diagonal braces -1-  to the prescribed tightening torque.

   Support plate to rear-axle cross member: 

   Tightening torque 65 Nm 

   Support plate to V-strut (rear transverse strut): 

   Tightening torque 65 Nm 

   Diagonal braces to body: 

   Initial tightening 30 Nm (22 ftlb.) Final tightening +90° 

   Diagonal braces to rear-axle carrier side section: 

   Tightening torque 65 Nm
