Removing Front Connecting Link (PDCC Actuator)

WARNING: Caustic fluids
  • Danger of chemical burns

→ Avoid contact with caustic fluid.

→ Wear personal protective gear.

→ Ensure that there is good ventilation.

→ If you do come into contact, wash off immediately with plenty of warm water and contact a doctor if necessary.

NOTE: Aggressive fluids
  • Risk of damage to components and surfaces

→ Do not spill fluids.

→ In the event of contact, wash the component or surface with water.

→ Replace components that are already damaged.

Information 

  1. Mark banjo bolts before unscrewing them to make it easier to distinguish between them. 

    Place a suitable absorbent cloth underneath and use a drip pan if possible.

    Disconnect lower -1-  and upper -2-  pressure line from the connecting link.

  2. Loosen countersunk screw used to secure the retaining bracket to the connecting link -3-  .
  3. Remove connecting link from spring strut → Mounting for upper connecting link  .

  4. Remove connecting link from the anti-roll bar. To unscrew the fastening nut -1-  , counter with screwdriver 9546  (Torx screwdriver) at the ball-joint pin.
