Removing Rear Spoiler (Wing Struts)

Open the rear lid.
Remove screw covers at the sides -1- using a plastic wedge -2- .

Unscrew fastening screws -1- .

Information
- The components cannot be removed without damaging them and must always be replaced .
Remove covers for the wing struts on the rear lid.
1. 4.1. Heat rear lid -1- close to the covers -2- using the hot-air blower v.a.g 1416 -3- .
2. 4.2. Insert a plastic wedge -1- under the covers -2- and loosen them in an upward direction.

Lift wing struts -1- along with the covers -2- up and off.

Remove adhesive residue.

1. 6.1. Remove adhesive residue in the installation area using an erasing disc film eraser Nr.174 Pos.1 .
