Removing Control Unit For Front-End Electronics

Always comply with the regulations for handling ESD-sensitive components!

Assembly work may only be carried out if the mechanic is wearing the working clothes and shoes approved by Porsche.
The new part must only be removed from the ESD (electrostatic discharge) protective packaging just before installation and at the position at which the part is to be installed.
Never touch the electric pins and plug contacts.

NOTE: Voltage peaks

Risk of damage to electrical load or to the control unit

Release relay carrier -1- with gateway control unit -2- (-arrow A- ), lift it up and out -arrow B- and leave it hanging down -arrow C- .

Information

The number of plug connections can vary, depending on equipment.
Release the locking clip, swivel it 90° to the right -arrow a- and unplug the plug connection -arrow A- .
Release electric plug connection -arrow b- and unplug it -arrow B- .

Press the locking lug down -arrow - and unclip the control unit -1- from the bracket -2- (-arrow B- ). The bracket remains installed.
Release the locking clip, swivel it up by 90° -arrow a, b- and unplug the plug connections -arrow A, B- .

Release the locking lugs -arrows c, d- and disconnect the plug connections -arrow C, D- .
