Removing Trim Panel (Steering-Column Switch)

- Adjust steering wheel to lower position.
- Unclip upper part of trim panel.
- 2.1. Turn steering wheel in such a way that the openings on the front are accessible.
- 2.2. Release the upper part of the trim panel through the openings on the front panel using a suitable screwdriver -arrows A- and fold it up -arrows B- .
- Disconnect plug connections for microphone -arrows- .
- Unclip and remove the upper part of the trim panel on the dust boot -arrows- .
- Unscrew the fastening screw -1- on the steering-wheel adjustment handle -2- . (Mechanical steering-wheel adjustment only)
- Release the lower part of the trim panel.
- 6.1. Unscrew the fastening screws -1- in the lower part of the trim panel -2- .
- 6.2. Turn the steering wheel in such a way that the fastening screws -1- on the front are accessible.
- 6.3. Unscrew the fastening screws -1- in the lower part of the trim panel -2- .
- Remove the lower part of the trim panel.
- 7.1. Fold the lower part of the trim panel downwards.
- 7.2. Unlatch and pull off the plug connection -arrow- .
- 7.3. Remove the lower part of the trim panel.
