Securing Rear-Axle Cross Member

Information 

  1. Fit rear-axle cross member on the body. Use an auxiliary tool.

    Initial tightening 90 Nm (67 ftlb.) Final tightening +90°

    1. 1.1. Screw auxiliary tool into the aluminum thread  on the body.
    2. 1.2. Fit rear-axle cross member and fix in place with a screw.
    3. 1.3. Remove auxiliary tool and fit the second screw.
    4. 1.4. Repeat procedure on the other side.
  2. Fit connecting link or PDCC actuator on the anti-roll bar.

    PDCC actuator Initial tightening 50 Nm (37 ftlb.) Final tightening +50° 

    Connecting link Initial tightening 40 Nm (30 ftlb.) Final tightening +30° 

  3. Fit diagonal braces -1-  .

    Screws -2- Initial tightening 30 Nm (22 ftlb.) Final tightening +90° 

    Screws -3- Initial tightening 90 Nm (67 ftlb.) Final tightening +90° 

    Cheese head bolts -4- Tightening torque 65 Nm (48 ftlb.) 

    Hexagon-head bolts, M8 -(-)-  (Cabriolet only) Tightening torque 30 Nm (22 ftlb.)
