Programming Headlight Control Unit (Centrally)

Voltage drop
- Risk of irreparable damage to control unit

- Fault entries in the control unit
- Coding in the control unit is aborted
- Malfunctions in control unit, even during programming
→ Prior to disconnecting the control unit, switch off ignition and remove ignition key.
→ Ensure that the power supply is not interrupted during programming.
→ Connect a battery charger with a current rating of at least → Nominal value: 40 A to the vehicle battery.

The PIWIS Tester II 9818 instructions take precedence since the description may be different with later Tester releases.

- PIWIS Tester II 9818 must be connected to the vehicle and ignition switched on.
- Start the diagnostic application and select the required vehicle type.
- Select Maintenance/repairs using the cursor keys.
- Select Headlight control unit (centrally), Headlight start-up using the cursor keys and press [F8] to confirm your selection.
- As soon as Headlight start-up , Write chassis number and Automatic coding is complete, press [F12] to end the process.
- PIWIS Tester II 9818 must be disconnected from the vehicle and ignition switched off.
