Removing Rear Brake Disc

  1. PIWIS Tester II 9818  must now be connected and started.
    1. 1.1. Select parking brake.
    2. 1.2. Select Maintenance/repairs.
    3. 1.3. Move to installation position.
  2. Disconnect the plug connection for the brake pad wear indicator -1-  and detach it from the holder -2-  .

    Information 

    • Do not open the brake hydraulic system (brake line remains connected)  .
  3. Remove the brake calliper from the wheel bearing housing (wheel carrier) by loosening the fastening screws -arrows-  . Engage the brake calliper at a suitable position on the wheel housing (using a piece of wire, for example) and make sure that the brake pressure line is not strained.

    If the edge of the brake disc is protruding at the outer diameter, first reset the brake pads slightly and evenly.

  4. Remove fastening screws -arrows-  and take off the brake disc.
