Installing Front Brake Disc
Information
- Do not confuse right and left brake discs during fitting .
- Distinguishing features: Part number and the flat surface of the brake discs is marked with R = right or L = left .
- Prepare for installing the brake disc.
- 1.1. Check that all parts are in perfect condition (visual inspection) and replace them if necessary.
- 1.2. Clean the flat and centering surfaces on the brake disc and wheel hub.
- 1.3. Apply a very thin coat of Optimoly TA (aluminum paste) to the centering surface on the wheel hub.
- Fit the brake disc. Tighten the screws -arrows-
. Tightening torque: 10 Nm (7.5 ftlb.).
Information
- Replace brake calliper fastening screws each time they are removed .
- Fit the brake calliper in reverse order to removal.
Brake calliper fastening screws: Tightening torque: 85 Nm (63 ftlb.).
- Position disc brake pads by pressing the brake pedal several times.
- Check the brake fluid level and correct it if necessary.
The brake fluid level must be between the MIN and MAX markings → Min/Max markings for brake fluid .
