Installing Front Brake Disc

Information 

  1. Prepare for installing the brake disc.
    1. 1.1. Check that all parts are in perfect condition (visual inspection) and replace them if necessary.
    2. 1.2. Clean the flat and centering surfaces on the brake disc and wheel hub.
    3. 1.3. Apply a very thin coat of Optimoly TA (aluminum paste) to the centering surface on the wheel hub.
  2. Fit the brake disc. Tighten the screws -arrows-  . Tightening torque: 10 Nm (7.5 ftlb.).

    Information 

    • Replace brake calliper fastening screws each time they are removed  .
  3. Fit the brake calliper in reverse order to removal.

    Brake calliper fastening screws: Tightening torque: 85 Nm (63 ftlb.).

  4. Position disc brake pads by pressing the brake pedal several times.
  5. Check the brake fluid level and correct it if necessary.

    The brake fluid level must be between the MIN and MAX markings → Min/Max markings for brake fluid  .
