Installing (Inner) Rear Wheel Housing

Information 

• Before final assembly, make sure you fully understand all the work steps involved and carry out a trial assembly without applying adhesive. 
• The bonding process can only be carried out reliably when a smooth and swift sequence of operations is guaranteed. 
• Do not begin bonding work until all materials and tools necessary for later repair work are available. 

1. Apply adhesive. → Application depth: 3.0 mm 

   Working with body structural adhesive → 5x00in working with body structural adhesive

2. Fit and secure (inner) rear wheel housing.

3. Rivet in (inner) rear wheel housing.

   → blind rivet 000.043.207.57

4. Weld in (inner) rear wheel housing.
   1. 4.1. Spot-weld (inner) rear wheel housing using inert gas -arrow-  .
   2. 4.2. Resistance spot-weld the (inner) rear wheel housing.

5. Install (outer) rear wheel housing. → Installing (Outer) Rear Wheel Housing 
6. Install outer side member. → 514555 replacing outer side member
