Adjusting And Aligning Tailpipes

CAUTION: Hot components

Risk of burns
→ Let hot components cool down.

→ Wear personal protective gear.

NOTE: Tailpipe not fitted correctly

Components can heat up
→ Observe exact gap dimensions.

→ After the test drive, check the gap dimensions again and re-adjust if necessary.

Information

If the gap dimensions of the tailpipes with respect to the rear apron are different due to design changes, the tailpipes must be adjusted to a uniform distance from the rear apron.

Loosen screw on ball clamp.
Align tailpipe in the bumper cut-out.
1. 2.1 Tailpipe gap dimension with respect to bumper cut-out > Gap dimension 18 mm .
Tighten screw on ball clamp to > Tightening torque 35 (26 ftlb.) Nm .
