Installing Front Panel For Roof Assembly

Information 

• Some of the repair illustrations show only one side of the vehicle. 
• Naturally, some steps also have to be performed on the opposite side of the vehicle as well. 

1. Move the powered sunroof mechanism -3-  as far as required on both sides until the sliding piece -6-  is between the markings -5-  .

   Information 

   Always use new screws when installing the glass panel.

2. Insert the glass panel into the powered sunroof mechanism -3-  from above and screw in but do not tighten the fastening screws -2-  .

3. Set gap dimensions for the front panel. Gap dimension 1.4 mm +/-1 mm Gap dimension 10 mm +/-1.2 mm Gap dimension 2 mm +/-0.5 mm Gap dimension 1 mm +1.2 mm -0.6 mm 

   When positioning the panel, check that there is an equal gap between the panel and roof aperture. Align the panel in the longitudinal and transverse direction if necessary.

4. Tighten fastening screws -2-  to Tightening Torque 7 Nm (5 ft. lb.)  .
5. Press seal -3-  onto the assembly frame.
6. Slide the covers -1-  into the rails for the front glass panel -2-  (-A-  ).

7. After completing all tasks, program/teach the roof assembly (panoramic roof). → 600625 PROGRAMMING/TEACHING ROOF ASSEMBLY (PANORAMIC ROOF)
