Installing Rear Brake CALLIPER

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
WARNING: Old mounting parts fitted on the brake calliper 
  • Reduced braking effect 
  • Risk of damage to the brake calliper 
    1. Fit new fastening screws

Installation is performed in reverse order.

Information 

> 4X00IN TIGHTENING TORQUES FOR BRAKE HYDRAULIC SYSTEM

  1. Check that all parts are in perfect condition (visual inspection) and replace them if necessary.
  2. Fit brake calliper. > Tightening torque 85 Nm (63 ftlb.) 

    Information 

    • Make sure that the brake line is not twisted. A twisted brake line can damage the bellows at the drive shaft while driving. 
  3. Fit brake line at the brake calliper. > Tightening torque 14 Nm (10.5 ftlb.) +/- 1 Nm (0.5 ftlb.) 
  4. Fit holder for brake pad wear indicator cable and brake line.

    Brake hose bracket to brake calliper > Tightening torque 8 (6 ftlb.) Nm 

    Cable holder to wheel bearing housing: > Tightening torque 8 (6 ftlb.) Nm 

  5. Clip in connector for brake pad wear indicator.
